RTime Co.

Where we develop people through the power of mentorship

RTime Co. is a nonprofit 501c3 organization made up of formerly incarcerated juvenile lifers as defined by California’s new Youth Offender Legislation. Combined, they have over one hundred and twenty-two (122) years of life experience in California’s prison system. Each one of them has a unique story of resilience and triumph navigating the prison system. The commonality they share are their stories of rehabilitation, higher education, and community building through the power of mentorship. Today, they are not only free, they are Certified Life Coaches, Substance Use Counselors, Community Activists, and Prison Reformists. RTime's mission is to do more than just advocate for all those who are incarcerated but to provide the type of quality mentorship that is life changing and ultimately results in changing the trajectory of people’s lives, in and out of prison.

"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much"
Helen Keller

There are over 32,000 men and women identified as long-term/lifers in the California prison system. Although there have been several new law changes in recent years that provide opportunities for people to come home, roughly 66 percent of people who go to the Parole Board each year are denied and kept behind prison walls. We believe that RTime can be the game changer to help people succeed at the Parole Board and when they return to the free community.
