Secretary

Since paroling in 2012, I have completed my plumbing apprenticeship with Local 78 Plumbers Union. I have over 12 years of plumbing experience as a BTJ (building trades journeyman plumber) and foreman. I have been humbled to have had the opportunity to supervise high Rise commercial projects in downtown Los Angeles as well as building a new elementary school in Coachella. Just recently, I have taken on a new venture to launch my own plumbing business. FreeMen Plumbing will provide an opportunity for incarcerated individuals to learn the plumbing trade and develop a stable career that will ultimately set them up for success. So many men come out of prison and have the desire and tenacity to succeed but just need someone to offer them an opportunity. FreeMen Plumbing at its roots is designed to do just that. Plumbing is a trade that is not going away. As long as we are human beings, there will always be a need for plumbers. Not only will we teach these individuals the ins and outs of the plumbing trade but they will also learn customer relations, effective communication, how to bid the jobs, design and build on site, engineering skills, trouble shooting and problem solving development. Our efforts for this business launch are designed with YOU in mind. We just want to be the open hand of opportunity, and your success is our reward.
